Duties and Responsibilities

As the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Testing, Ms. Ilvento oversees the coordination of all curricular revisions and textbook selections. This includes organizing committees and facilitating pilot programs throughout the district. She is responsible for the development and management of the No Child Left Behind consolidated grant. She coordinates the district’s testing administration. This encompasses NJASK and HSPA standardized testing (grades 3-8 & 11) and NJPASS testing (grades 2, 9, & 10). Additionally, Ms. Ilvento works with the building principals to define building objectives for each school year. She reviews all classroom observations and works closely with the district supervisors to oversee each curricular area. Ms. Ilvento interviews with principals and supervisors for new staff positions and monitors personnel assignments. She develops a curriculum budget annually and directly organizes the district’s Professional Development Academy, which includes administrative, staff, and parent workshops and training sessions.
