About Mr. Auciello
I hold a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Secondary Education and English from Seton Hall University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Kean University. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. My continued professional education reflects my dedication to my profession and my philosophy that learning is an evolving lifelong process. As an educator, I strive to model and instill the values of good citizenship and leadership in my students while fostering an appreciation for diversity in my classroom as they prepare to embark upon the challenges of adulthood and become productive members of society.
I chose teaching as a profession because of my passion for reading, writing, and literature which was sparked by one of my own high school English teachers during my senior year. It is my hope that I may somehow open up the same door to an exciting world of opportunities and interests in literature for my own students. My goal as an educator lies in guiding my students toward self-empowerment through literature and writing. With the tools provided in my classroom through collaborative activities and meaningful discussions, it is my expectation that each of my students will attain a stronger command of oral and written communication skills for defining his or her personal voice resulting in the ability to effectively articulate personal ideas, a skill essential for success in a wide array of professions. I look forward to an exciting and productive 2010-2011 school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I may ever be of assistance.
