Meet the Instructors

Ms. Emily Kneuer

Ms. Kneuer has been in the Hazlet Township Public Schools for two years. She is the Choir Director at both Hazlet Middle School and Raritan High School. She teaches Chorus and Music Theory at Hazlet Middle School and Concert Choir, Honors Concert Choir, and History of Rock at Raritan High School. She is also the assistant band director for the Raritan Marching Band. Ms. Kneuer graduated from Susquehanna University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a concentration in voice. Outside of school, she serves as treasurer of All-Shore Chorus and is an active member of the National Association for Music Education.

Mr. Raymond Lahaye

Mr. Raymond Lahaye is currently the Director of Instrumental Music at Raritan High School. Mr. Lahaye is a graduate from Monmouth University receiving his Bachelor's Degree in the areas of Music Education, Music Business, and Psychology. He has worked with many bands in the Monmouth and Ocean County area, directing and designing their marching band visual program. In addition, he remains an active member in the Monmouth University community by presenting workshops to the music methods classes and to other music educators. Mr. Lahaye serves as the treasurer for the All Shore Band Directors Association. He is also an active participant alongside his fellow performing arts colleagues serving as the musical director for the Raritan High School Spring Musical.  Mr. Lahaye currently teaches Concert Band, Honors Band, Intro to Music Theory, Advanced Placement Music Theory, and Music Industry.

Mrs. Lisa Maroun

Lisa Maroun has been a Health, Physical Education and Dance Teacher at Raritan High School for 15 years.  She has been the director of our current dance program for 8 years. Lisa has been the Competition Dance Team coach for 8 years and the Fall Dance Team coach for 6 years.  She directs, produces, and choreographs for the RHS Annual Dance Recital as well as being the advisor for our Dance Troupes offered after school. She has choreographed 2 of the RHS School Musicals in the past 15 years.  Lisa continues to assist in area dance studios providing choreography for their competition teams and drop in classes. She has been a part of the University of Delaware Dance Team and Captain of The College of New Jersey Dance Team in which she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education.  

Ms. Melanie Taylor

Ms. Taylor has been involved in the theatre from a young age and teaching Drama at Raritan High School for 21 years.  She is Vice-president of the New Jersey Drama and Forensics League, Executive Producer at Monmouth Players, and Co-founder/Artistic Director of Stage Left Players in Hazlet. Ms. Taylor is a Theatre and English graduate of William Paterson University with B.A. degrees in Speech Arts and Dramatics, European Literature, Linguistics and Grammar, and Creative Writing. She also attended various performing arts programs in NYC, as well as being an accomplished makeup artist and award-winning director.  She runs all of the theatrical productions/events at Raritan High School. Ms. Taylor teaches Introduction to Drama, Theatre/Drama 2, Character and Scene Exploration 1 and 2, and Journalism 1 and 2.
