It is my honor to serve as the principal of Hazlet Middle School, a truly collaborative, innovative, and supportive learning community!
A little bit about me...I received my BA in Elementary and Special Needs Education and Psychology from Boston College, my MA in Education Administration from Seton Hall University, and my EdD in Educational Leadership from Monmouth University. Prior to joining the Hazlet Middle School administration, I was a fourth grade teacher in Cranford, NJ, a national Technology Implementation Specialist with EdGate.com (which allowed me to visit 42 states in two years!), and served for ten years as Assistant Principal at Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, NJ. My husband, Rob, and I have two sons, Ronan and Patrick. I love to read, spend time with my family, and take long road trips!
I bring to the Hazlet community my experience with community collaboration, classroom integration of technology tools and resources, professional development leadership and a genuine dedication to supporting and fostering the growth and potential of every student.
I encourage parents, students and community members to reach out to me at any time, as we partner to continue the tradition of excellence and equity at Hazlet Middle School.
Thank you, and #choosekind!
Christine McCoid, EdD
