Mrs. Toal is excited to be in her 12th year of teaching art. In that time, she has had experience teaching every grade level from pre-k up to college. Middle school is her favorite age level to teach because she is inspired to see the creative expressions of young artists in the unique time of their lives when their personalities and interests are coming to light. Now beginning her 7th year at HMS, Mrs. Toal teaches art to both 7th and 8th grade learners. Prior to entering the field of education, Mrs. Toal owned and operated Enchanted Forrest Art Gallery in New Hope, PA. Her artistic style tends to encompass the spirit of nature and human connection. Mrs. Toal's artistic influences include: Claude Monet, Mary Cassatt, Frida Kahlo, Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, Maxfeild Parrish, M.C. Escher, James Coleman, Robert Wyland, Georgia O'Keeffe, Zaria Forman, and countless others. A graduate of Georgian Court University's BFA program and Education Masters program, she considers herself a lifelong learner, always eager to grow professionally. In her spare time she enjoys painting, hiking, writing poetry, and spending time with her family.
