Virtual Learning

Monday, April 6th

Good morning! Please check Google Classroom and your email each day for up to date information. The assignments for the week are also posted under the "Virtual Learning" tab on the lefthand side of this page.

All assignments can be completed on Google Classroom. I will be providing continuous feedback daily.

I have also created a class on Flipgrid. Each morning I will post a video. If you are able to, view the video to learn about the assignments for the day. I will also give a discussion question or a new vocabulary word. You can create your own response to the video by clicking on the green plus button. You can view other students' responses also! You can join our flipgrid class by going to the flipgrid website. Our code is massaro1234 . All videos will also be posted through Google Classroom.

Also, please check your GUIDED READING schedule each week. We will be virtually meeting TWICE a week.

Please note below the district's guidelines for elementary students during virtual learning. To learn more about activities for specials, please visit the teacher's webpage. Some of the activities were also sent home on Friday.

I will be available from 9am-1pm by email and Google Classroom messaging. All students and/or parents can contact me.

Just remember that we are in this together! Let's make it a positive and fun learning experience!

You might be wondering who I am, so let me share a little about myself. My name is Mrs. Massaro and this will be my seventh year teaching at Lillian Drive Elementary School.

Education: I graduated from Shore Regional High School in 2007. After that, I went on to attend Monmouth University. While in college I was a member of the university’s Student Government Association, President of the campus’ International Reading Association’s, and member of the History Honor Society. I graduated on January 13, 2012, with a Bachelor’s degree in History/Political Science, Elementary Education and ESL endorsement.

Interests: One of the things you should know about me is that I have a one-year old son, Christopher. I often take Christopher to Dorbrook Park to play or to the boardwalk at Pier Village. I enjoy biking and running in my free time. Christopher s becoming a great running buddy (in his carriage)! One of my favorite hobbies is cooking and baking.
