Hi! I'm Mrs. Ryder. Here is a little bit about me ...I grew up in Hazlet. I attended Sycamore Drive and Beers Street School. I am also a Raritan High School graduate. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Montclair State University with a K-8 standard certification. I also received a certification for Part 1 of the Associate Level Literacy Training from the Orton-Gillingham Academy.
I began my teaching career in the Manalapan-Englishtown School District. I taught 2nd and 3rd grade. After seven years of teaching, I had twin boys and my daughter shortly after them. I took some time off from teaching to help raise my three children. Once they had started school, I wanted to get right back into the classroom again. I began subbing for the Hazlet School District. I was fortunate and honored to be offered a teaching position in the town I love and live in. I have been the Title 1 Intervention teacher at Middle Road School and Lillian Drive School for the past 4 years. I have taught students in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade.
This year, I am beginning a new journey as a 1st grade teacher. I am really excited and looking forward to having my own class again! It is going to be a great year for all of us!
I am looking forward to providing your child with a positive learning experience and making wonderful memories together. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or concerns. =)
