The Road Back to School

Hello MRS Families,

As per Governor Murphy's updated guidance for schools masks will be required for all students at all times while inside a school building, regardless of social distancing, unless doing so would inhibit the individual's health.  Gaitors and bandanas will not be allowed based on updated CDC guidance.  Please see the flyer below for more information about mask-wearing.

Important Information About Face Mask Protocols

A small snack will be allowed during the school day for grades 1-4.   Please send in a small nut-free snack that can be eaten quickly during the day and that your child can open on their own.

Please go on your child's portal to update any outdated contact information.  I frequently send email blasts out through the system so please include an email and enable it to receive messages.

Suggested List of Supplies

Hazlet Public Schools will always, as past practice, supply our students with everything they need for their academics. This list was created in response to parents asking if they could purchase their children’s supplies so that they know it only came from their own home. In no way should anyone feel obligated to purchase these items.

  • Pencil box labeled with the student's name
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Markers
  • Colored pencils
  • Dry erase markers
  • Dry erase eraser or soft cloth
  • Hand sanitizer
  • A small pack of tissues
  • Scissors

In order to reduce class size numbers band, enrichment and technology have been suspended for this school year.

Below I have included some pictures of what our classrooms are going to look like for the upcoming school year.
