Principal's Message

JV2018-19
Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!  I am thrilled for the journey ahead of us and proud to be the principal of a school and part of a community where genuine care for children, high educational expectations, and building character is a priority.  Raritan Valley Elementary School is privileged to have an outstanding staff, student body, PTO, and parent network that brings enthusiasm, passion, and commitment to the vision of our school.

While serving as the principal, the district mission of “Educating our students to achieve their maximum potential” will be my top priority while providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and be successful.  I encourage you to navigate through our website and access the individual links to learn more about our facility, staff, programs, curriculum, activities, partnerships, and other informative topics.  The RVS Calendar on Google located on our home page menu has all of our events for the year posted.

Hazlet Township Public Schools have provided e-mail addresses for all staff in order to be readily accessible and responsive to your concerns. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at anytime as well. If you would like to follow me on Twitter @RVS_Principal you will be up-to-date with our best practices and events that I will post throughout the school year.

At Raritan Valley Elementary School, we will continue to have a strong commitment to academics, character education, cultural enrichment, technology and leadership development.  We are proud to say that RVS has just been awarded both the Bronze certification for NJ Sustainable Schools and  Future Ready Schools NJ.  Please join me in working together to ensure that each child at RVS can become a respectful and productive global citizen.

I look forward to another fabulous school year and working with everyone.

Sincerely,
John Verderosa
