Plagiarism is a serious offense. It is using another person’s ideas or expressions in your writing without acknowledging or giving credit to the author. Plagiarized papers are unacceptable and will result in a failing grade.
Forms of Plagiarism:
- Repeating someone else’s word exactly or too closely.
- Repeating someone else’s particularly appropriate phrase without giving the author credit.
- Paraphrasing another person’s argument or line of thinking and presenting it as your own.
- Including a Works Cited or Works Consulted page that does not match your citations.
