Mission Statement:

We want our community to know that at Hazlet Township Public Schools we are good stewards of our tax payers’ money & we are motivated to reduce our carbon footprint.

As the energy program moves forward we look to enhance the learning environment, eliminate energy waste, save dollars, and continue to identify opportunities for savings.The energy program looks to create an “Energy Conservation Culture”!The success of the program depends on everyone!

Here is some information about how the Energy Program has impacted the School District.

 

  • The Hazlet township Public school District has cut energy consumption by one- third 
    since the program start in 2017.
  • $469,770 cost avoidance savings 22 % 12/01/2017.
  • Hazlet School District has had a 36% decrease in total energy reduction
  • Our energy performance has helped 6 of our school buildings receive Energy Star certification
  • Environmental impact-Decreased Co2 emissions by 2286 metric tons
