UNEXCUSED EXCESSIVE TARDINESS POLICY

PLEASE READ

Four tardies will result in parent contact and 1 recess detention.  An after school
detention will be assigned for every 4th late thereafter.  12 or more lates will result in
mandatory parent conference.  A remedial program will be recommended.

DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS:  Students are permitted 4 tardies a year due to a doctors
appointment as long as it is accompanied by a doctor’s note.  After the fourth tardy, all tardies will count toward the unexcused excessive tardiness policy.

 ABSENCE AND ATTENDANCE POLICY

Students will lose credit after 16 absences as in the past it was 20 absences.  Students must be in school for a minimum of one (1) hour of classroom instruction before lunch and one (1) hour of classroom instruction after lunch, in order to NOT be considered absent.  Students must arrive at school no later than 9:44 am and remain in school until at least 12:32 pm for grade 5 and 10:36 am to 1:24 pm for grade 6.
