When should my child stay home from school?

Keep your child home from school if they:

• Have a temperature of 100 degrees or higher - they must be fever free for 24 hours without medication

• Have vomited in the last 24 hour period

• Have diarrhea

• Cough almost constantly or have difficulty breathing

• Have stomach pain for more than two hours

• Have open sores on their mouth or around their nose

• Have a skin rash and you don"t know why

• Have a red eye that is itchy, hurts and is draining

• Have symptoms of strep throat, impetigo, ring worm, chickenpox
