I'm a product of the Hazlet school system, attending grades K-8 at Raritan Valley and 9-12 at Raritan High School. I went on to Rutgers College in New Brunswick, where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree. I followed that up with a Master of Business Education (M.B.A.) from the Rutgers Graduate School of Management. I spent four years working in Manhattan's financial industry, then went back to school and earned a Master's degree in education from the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. Since September 1993, I've been a teacher in the Hazlet School district. Until September of 2017, that time was spent entirely as a teacher of eighth grade language arts. In September of 2017, I began a new phase of my career, moving to Cove Road Elementary School, where I began teaching 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies. Having successfully survived three-and three quarters school years in the sixth grade classroom and a quarter year in a pandemic-induced virtual one, I can now confidently call Cove Road my home. I look forward to again teaching 6th grade Social Studies and Language Arts classes this year (2020-2021).
