Welcome to Stacy Schiller's website!
I have been an educator since 1995. My first two teaching positions were middle school history. I left in 2008 to pursue a Masters' degree in Social Justice Education. After I became the director of the Holocaust Resouce Center and Diversity Council at Kean University. I realized I missed the classroom and was thrilled to join the staff at RHS!
My strongest passions are justice, diversity and empowering students. I love working with students from various background and opinions and helping them find their voice. I teach United States History II and electives on the Holocaust and Sociology. I'm also the co-advisor for the Executive Board of Student Council.
Outside of school, I worked with a number of Holocaust organizations, such as CHHANGE, the Center for Holocaust, Human Rights and Genocide Education at Brookdale Community College, and TOLI, The Olga Lengyel Institute out of NYC. This past summer I co-facilitated a week long seminar for teachers on the Holocaust and social justice.
I love reading, watching movies, and especially college basketball season!
