Please check the folder each day for completed classwork or important notices. Your child needs to bring the folder back to school every day.

SNACK: Our School is NUT FREE, Please do not send any food containing nuts for Snack. Our daily SNACK period is 15 minutes. Please send 1 small healthy snack with your child every day. Foods, such as fruits, veggies, or yogurt are great snacks. In order to limit the need for handling snack items, please be sure to remove the peel from oranges, tangerines, etc. As well, Children should be able to open their snack containers by themselves. No glass bottles are permitted in class.

BREAKFAST / LUNCH: The Procedure for placing orders will be will be shared with you prior to the Opening of School.

“BUDDY LIST”: If you would like to be part of our class “buddy list”, information will be given on Back to School Night. I will be sharing a Google Document for you to add your contact information. Once the information is compiled, it will be distributed to those families who want to participate. In the past many parents have found that this is very helpful in order to arrange play dates, etc.

ABSENCE: Parents/guardians are responsible for notifying the school on or before the first day of the student’s absence. To report an absence, please call 732-264-2180, listen to the menu and press 1 for the Attendance Line and Nurse. Please state your child’s name, teacher, reason for the absence and possible number of days the child will be absent, or if your child will be late to school, the time he or she will arrive. If your child will be absent for an extended period of time, please email me for daily school work.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Please clearly label belongings, (jackets, lunch boxes, backpacks, smocks, etc.), with your child’s First and Last Names.

EXTRA CLOTHING: Please send a large (adult-sized) t-shirt to be used as a smock in the classroom. Also, please send a change of clothing in a plastic bag with your child's name on it. This is very helpful when there is a spill at snack, bathroom accident or a wet day on the playground!

DISMISSAL PROCEDURES: Your child will be either taking the bus or will be a “walker” or aftercare student. Once established, your child will be dismissed this way everyday unless I receive a note or email from you, stating otherwise. If you email, please do so before 11:30 am. If that is not possible, you may call the school office to advise us of a change in dismissal. If your child will be picked up from school by someone other than a parent, please make sure to include the name of the person picking up your child and please make sure that your child is also aware of this.

AN EMAIL WAS SENT BY OUR PRINCIPAL, MRS. DOROZYNSKI ON AUGUST 25th, WITH DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO LOGIN AND ACCESS YOUR PARENT PORTAL ACCOUNT

ALSO CHECK THE E-BACKPACK ON THE SYCAMORE DRIVE WEBSITE FOR NECESSARY FORMS THAT NEED TO BE COMPLETED FOR OUR SCHOOL RECORDS.
