School is closed next Friday, February 16th, for staff professional development and Monday, February 19th, for Presidents' Day.
Second marking period report cards are available in the parent portal.
Help the Beers Street School Community Club Stick-It-To-Cancer on Thursday, February 15th. All money raised will support a former Bulldog fighting childhood cancer and his family. Purchase strips of duct tape so your child can stick Mr. Collis to the wall and support an important cause! Click here to find out the details.
Next week is Random Acts of Kindness Week at Beers Street School. Below are our theme days:
Monday - Excited to be on Team Kindness - Sports Jersey Day!
Tuesday - Being Kind is No Sweat! - Sweats Day!
Wednesday - Kindness is Love - Wear Red for Kindness and Heart Health Awareness
Thursday - Tip your cap to Kindness - Hat Day!
Attention 6th grade parents. If you want your child's baby photo featured in the yearbook, please send it in. Submit a copy of the baby photo to your child's homeroom teacher labeled with their name and homeroom on the back. You may also email a photo to BeersrStreetYearbook@gmail.com. The subject line MUST include "6th Grade Baby Photo, Student Name, Homeroom Teacher." Photos are due March 28th, 2024. Also, for 6th grade parents, you can submit a short message congratulating your child and wishing them luck next year to be featured in our yearbook. You can submit up to four messages per child. Each message costs $4.00. The deadline is March 28th. Learn more here
The PTO chocolate fundraiser ends on February 14th. Please return the permission slip if you would like your child to participate.
Beers Street School opened up a new spirit wear store online, and the sale runs through February 13th. Click this link to visit the store. You may purchase shirts, hoodies, sweats, and more.
The Food Service Committee meeting will take place on Monday, February 26th, at Lillian Drive School in the Media Center, beginning promptly at 5:15 pm. If you would like to attend, please contact Veronica Infante in the Business Office at 732 264-8402, ext. 1108.
Online homework help is available in the evening from 6:00 - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Students may log onto Google Meet using the code homeworkhelp23.
Morning math help is available from 8:00 - 8:20 am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the STEAM lab.
If you would like your child to attend after-school tutoring, please complete this form and return it to your child's homeroom teacher.
When emailing the school nurse about your child's absence, please send the email to bssattendance@hazlet.org. You may also report absences by calling nurse Pat Raphael at (732) 264-1107, ext. 3003.
