Dear Beers Street Families,
Welcome back to school!
Back-to-School Night is Tuesday, September 9th, at 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 11th, is an early dismissal day for students and staff. Students are dismissed at 12:15 PM. We encourage students to wear red, white, and blue in observance of September 11th.
Picture Day is Friday, September 19th. You can order before picture day on mylifetouch.com with the Picture Day ID: EVTTFW7Z8. Flyers will be sent home as well.
The school doors open at 8:00 AM. Please refrain from coming earlier. The car drop-off line can extend onto Beers Street, creating a traffic jam. To eliminate the backup on Beers Street and maintain safety, please do not arrive until 8:00 AM. We appreciate your cooperation.
Please complete the Family I.D. online emergency card if you still need to do so. This must be completed every year. You can find the link for the Family ID Emergency Card Form here.
Beers Street School PTO membership is $10 per family, but all monetary donations are greatly appreciated. Dues can be paid via Venmo- @BeersStreetPTO. Please include your child's first name, last name, and teacher in the message box. Dues can also be paid by sending in cash or a check. Checks should be made out to "Beers Street PTO."
Sometimes students enjoy going to Giuseppe's Pizzeria after school. If your child takes a bus and would like to go to Giuseppe's after school, please send in a note stating your child will be a walker for the day. We do not want students coming to the main office to request permission to call home to go to Giuseppe's. Likewise, please be aware that large groups of unsupervised students often visit Giuseppe's. It is advisable that a parent or guardian accompany their child to Giuseppe's.
We encourage staff and students to wear Bulldog green on Fridays for school spirit. You may also purchase spirit wear here.
The Hazlet Township School District has a student code of conduct policy and regulations, along with behavior guidelines and consequences, available on the Beers Street homepage and in the Student / Parent Handbook. Those are available in the digital backpack on the Beers Street School homepage.
When emailing the school nurse about your child's absence, please send the email to bssattendance@hazlet.org. You may also report absences by calling nurse Pat Raphael at (732) 264-1107, ext. 3003.
