Letter from the Principal

Dear Beers Street Families,

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

Today, students attended an assembly presented by our middle and high school band and choir. They put on a great show!

Tip from our school nurse: According to the NJ Department of Health, seasonal flu activity remains elevated nationally and in New Jersey. Influenza vaccination remains recommended for the 25-26 season.

Join the Hazlet Township School District SEPAG for an important and informative presentation on Guardianship, presented by the Monmouth County Surrogate’s Office. You can learn more here.

The school doors open at 8:00 AM. If you arrive before this time, please park in a lined space in the parking lot. Please do not idle in the drop-off lane, as this often causes traffic backups and blocks bus entry. Beginning at 8:00 AM, please pull up to the curb and drop off your child. Students can exit safely onto the sidewalk before the “SLOW!” sign. Please do not drop off students in the “BUS ZONE” marked by yellow lines. Following these guidelines will ensure a clear path for buses entering the parking lot and allow students to exit their vehicles safely. We wholeheartedly appreciate your cooperation and understanding. The goal is to maintain a safe, orderly morning drop-off that does not delay school buses or create congestion on Beers Street. We appreciate your patience and understanding, especially on inclement-weather days.

When emailing the school nurse about your child's absence, please send an email to bssattendance@hazlet.org. You may also report absences by calling nurse Pat Raphael at (732) 264-1107, ext. 3003.

Enjoy the weekend!

Sincerely,

Ian Collis

Principal
