Beers Street Elementary School

As we end the month of March, this year's Music in Our Schools Month comes to an end, but music is important all year round. Music helps to educate the whole student, shaping the way students understand themselves and the world around them.  Here at Beers Street School, we are lucky to have both music and band classes, and our students have been busy learning about and experiencing many genres of music.  Both grades learned about and watched a musical recently, and many students are currently preparing for our May 15th Spring Concert.  The 5th and 6th grade band students are working hard to learn new music to perform, so please encourage your child to practice at home. During music class, all of our 5th grade classes are learning to sing some entertaining songs to share as a chorus on the 15th as well.  I hope music is a part of your lives at home as well!
