Letter from the Principal

Dear Beers Street Families,

Next week, Wednesday, November 23rd, is an early dismissal half-day. Students are released for dismissal at 12:15 pm. School is closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving Break.

Report cards will be available in the parent portal on Monday, November 28th. If you have any issues accessing the parent portal, please reach out to Mrs. Sansolo at 732 264-1107 ext. 3001.

Students are participating in the first annual Grateful Gobbler to raise money for local families in need. The Beers Street Community Club created a "Tailless Turkey" in the cafeteria. For $1, students can personalize feathers to show their Bulldog gratitude, and they will be pinned to our "Tailless Turkey." All proceeds will help local families from Hazlet receive Thanksgiving meals through the RAINE Foundation. Each year at Beers Street School, we are lucky to have students that dedicate themselves to helping the community. We are all very grateful and proud of our Bulldogs. Have a Healthy and Happy Thanksgiving!

The Raritan High School Drama Department is looking for students in grades K-8 to perform in their production of "Annie." Click here to learn more.

The RAINE Foundation holiday toy drive is now in progress! Please consider donating a new, unwrapped toy or gift card to help brighten a local child's holiday! Toys and Gift Cards will be collected at all Hazlet Township Public Schools.

This week, Officer Megan Quinn of the Hazlet Police Department delivered a drug awareness assembly for our students. Thank you Officer Quinn!

Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place in person on November 29th through December 1st at Beers Street School. Parents can schedule conference appointments through the Realtime parent portal. The deadline to request a conference is Friday, November 25th, 2022, at 12:30 pm. Directions to schedule appointments can be found in the e-backpack on the Beers Street School website. November 29th, 30th, and December 1st are half-day early dismissal days for students.

Each year parents must re-register for their Family ID account. If you registered in the previous year, re-registering is a quick process. Please take a moment to update your Family ID account. Here are some helpful links to assist you with this process:

Enjoy the weekend!

Sincerely,
