COVID-19 Resources

Do you know of a someone that needs a little help with groceries this week? Tell them to call the RAINE Foundation Thursday, May 7 to reserve a spot at a special mobile food pickup Friday, May 8 in Holmdel, sponsored by the parishes of St. Benedict, Holmdel and St. Clement, Matawan. This is how it works: Callers will be given a time slot and instructions when they pre-register. When they arrive at St. Benedict Friday, volunteers will place groceries in the car. Social distancing will be maintained.
Nobody should be embarrassed to call, said RAINE’s Patti Dickens, who has been pre-registering plenty of first-time food seekers this week. “My response is, we are not here to judge you. We are all in this together. And second, we are here to help, that’s why we exist.”
The number to call to pre-register between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday, May 7 is 732-865-3555.
Monmouth County Health Department has opened a phone bank to respond to callers with questions or concerns about COVID-19. As you can imagine, many callers are experiencing increased anxiety, fear, and worry about COVID-19. There are Disaster Response Crisis Counselors (DRCCs) volunteering on the phone lines. The phone line is available from 9am-8pm. 732-845-2070
For other Coronavirus (COVID-19) questions, residents can call the health experts at the NJ Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222.

Starting today, April 20th, any Monmouth County residents in need of COVID-19 related emotional support can contact the Monmouth County Department of Health hotline at 732.845.2070. After initial contact with DRCC at the hotline, anyone in need of additional support will be directed to call Mental Health Association of Monmouth County at (732) 542-6422 to be connected to a licensed professional. MHA Monmouth County will answer calls live Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm.
MHA Monmouth County has put together a network of 60 volunteer licensed professionals who are providing up to 6 free telephonic support sessions. After 6 calls, if the resident is in need of ongoing behavioral health services, they will be referred to one of our community agencies.
