Welcome to Hazlet Middle School!

The middle school experience is a place where students are challenged academically and supported both socially and emotionally. We maintain a high set of expectations for all members of our learning community and share in the belief that everyone has the ability to contribute, learn, and improve through meaningful feedback, a sense of belonging, and the satisfaction of purpose. We measure success by how well students are able to independently recognize and respond to needs, adapt to the unknown, and develop ways to break new ground through critical thinking and teamwork.

Mr. Christopher Albrizio

Meet the Principal!

It is my honor to serve the community of Hazlet as Principal of HMS, a truly innovative and nurturing learning environment. As the building leader, my approach will always be rooted in the basics: listening, serving the needs of others, and modeling care as the necessary ingredients to meaningful collaboration and problem solving. I believe that the promotion of respect, decorum, and social norms are the foundation to the proper health and function of a shared learning and living environment. Focusing on pride, determination, and teamwork will help us cultivate innovation through patience, tolerance, and systems of support so that risk-taking and failure can be a part of the milestones for growth and success.

I encourage parents, students, and community members to reach out to me at any time, as our partnership is a crucial component to the maintenance of the tradition of excellence and opportunity at Hazlet Middle School. Looking forward to building relationships, making progress, and celebrating success with all members of this learning community.
