Parent and Caregiver Meetings

SEPAG (Special Education Parent Advisory Group)

The Hazlet SEPAG (Special Education Parent Advisory Group) hosts several parents-only virtual meetings.  Many of you have expressed an interest in connecting with parents and caregivers of children who experience learning challenges or who receive special services within Hazlet. Our goal at these locally-hosted gatherings is get to know each other better, to ask each other questions, to share advice and resources with one another, and to take the opportunity to raise any questions or concerns you may have about current Special Education programs and services, so that we can share your feedback, suggestions, and concerns with District Administrators.

There are no administrators or faculty members attending these meetings - just parents and caregivers. We invite you to join us!

Two River Friends of Diverse Learners

Some parents may also wish to meet with parents and caregivers of children who experience learning challenges or who receive special services in neighboring districts. Hazlet parents are invited to attend Monthly Support Meetings with Two River Friends of Diverse Learners, where you may have the opportunity to chat with parents from Colts Neck, Eatontown, Fair Haven, Little Silver, Manasquan, Middletown, Oceanport, Old Bridge, Red Bank, Red Bank Regional High School, Rumson, Rumson/Fair Haven High School, and Shrewsbury. Each monthly support meeting is facilitated by one or two Parent Leaders from each of the participating districts.
