Family and Consumer Science

The Family & Consumer Science Department, formerly known as home economics, provides students at Raritan High School with exposure to various academic and life-skills which promote college and career readiness. Courses range from Nutrition & Culinary Arts  to Child Development and Early Childhood Education. Students are exposed to skills that are transferable to various food service fields, along with lab and field experiences in early childhood education which partner with our district's elementary schools and the Hazlet community. A complete list and brief description of the courses offered is provided in the Subjects link to the left.
